Printable Technologies, Inc. (Solana Beach, CA) is looking for a QA Engineer. The QA Engineer ensures the validity, integrity, and functionality of all Printable Technology applications. This person will be required to learn how to use all Printable software and will need to become familiar with the underlying system components. This is a mid-level position with potential to grow in responsibilities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience testing web applications (2-4 years)
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to think logically and systematically
- Ability to quickly learn new business models
- Must be able to work on multiple projects in parallel in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- A BS degree in Computer Science or related field a plus
- Familiarity with Perforce source control software
- Experience writing scripts for automated testing packages
- Knowledge of the print industry and web development
- Quality Engineering Black Belt certifications
- Test functionality and usability of software products
- Create testing plans and test cases
- Assist management in making solid decisions for the launch of each application
- Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate each - decision
- Document, report problems, update, and maintain a bug defect database
- When possible determine source of bugs and recommend solutions to developers
- Read and understand the software manuals and existing documentation
- Perform testing tasks via black box, functional, regression, usability, performance, and load testing methods
- Learn how to use QA automation software for automating tests
- Participation in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) programs
