Our ad hoc job submission solutions offer an integrated Adobe PDF workflow for first-time or one-time job submissions through FusionPro Web with both the driver-based JobExpress module and the server-based JobDirect module. These unique, one-time job submission tools both allow end users to create and submit jobs from virtually any application by simply selecting the application print function from the File/Print menu.

Using server-side conversion to PDF, the JobDirect module requires no download or installation of specialized print drivers. It is easy to implement in even the most security-conscious environments and allows automated job submission from virtually any networked computer. User-defined job types, e.g., documents, banners and posters, can be configured with PDF creation options such as font embedding and image compression. The JobDirect module also offers automatic conversion to PDF for more than 200 document formats including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher; Adobe Illustrator; and many popular CAD formats. In addition, the native file format is always provided to the print service provider along with the PDF file.

JobExpress is a driver-based PDF creation and job submission module integrated into the PrintOne Store. Once the user has reviewed and approved the PDF proof, the file is encrypted and submitted to the Store, and a job specification form is presented to the user for completion and pricing approval. The user finally approves the print job and proceeds to check out where shipping and billing information is completed. A configurable client, JobExpress is configured with preset file creation parameters and produces a PSP specific JDF job ticket.
