CIP4
International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress
CIP4 brings together vendors, consultants, and end-users in the print communications, Graphic Arts industry, and associated sectors in focused working groups which define the Job Definition Format (JDF), PrintTalk, and other standards relevant to process automation; to study user requirements; to test product interoperability; and to develop a range of JDF tools.

Printing Industries of America
PIA is the world's largest graphic arts trade association, representing an industry with more than 1 million employees and $156 billion in sales annually. More than 14,000 printing and graphic communications companies are currently enjoying the benefits of membership. Membership is also available to associated industries that serve printers, such as manufacturers, suppliers, finance and insurance companies, and others. Printable is a member of the PIA and several local chapter affiliates.
Print Planet
PrintPlanet.com offers eCommunities for the Graphic Communications and Print Publishing industry. The 21 free eCommunity forums, with over 25,000 subscriptions, are available through e-mail or on the web, where individuals debate and discuss topics of mutual interest. Printable owns PrintPlanet and provides the technical and commercial resources to support this valuable resource to the industry.
Print Talk
PrintTalk is a community formed by print management systems and e-commerce companies to define a "best practice" common and open communications interface between their products. The PrintTalk implementation will support use of the broadly published, proposed Job Definition Format (JDF) standard and Commercial eXtensible Markup Language (cXML). Through a cooperative relationship with CIP4, the group responsible for developing the JDF specification, PrintTalk has made extensive contributions to the JDF document as well. The Business Object Model and Chapter 7 of JDF that defines "Intent Resources," as well as specifications for a print job from a print buyer, were contributed by PrintTalk. Intent Resources is a language for describing what is to be produced, without having any knowledge of the production facility. The PrintTalk interface specification will be distributed free of any license fees or royalties, in order to address the need for end-to-end connectivity in the printing industry. Printable is a founding member of the PrintTalk group.
RECouncil
The R&E Council is dedicated to the education of printing industry personnel in the latest technologies and productivity improvement methods. The R&E Council is proud to celebrate 50 years of significant contributions to the printing and publishing industry as a not-for-profit technical association. Printable hosts the R&E Council's main and SmartFactory Websites.
TAGA
